The RF Schottky diodes model loaded active doubly periodic flat strip FSS acts as a dynamic screen, in which its surface reflectivity and transmittivity can be switched alternately and tuned through d.c. bias voltage control. The characteristic response of a layer of substrateless FSS is found between 3 to 5 GHz. It is shown that by means of d.c. bias control we can utilize the screen in, (a) transmission mode as a dual band electromagnetic shutter, or, (b) reflection mode, as an amplitude shift keying (ASK) spatial modulator or dual band reflection canceller. © 2009 IEEE.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Amplitude shift keying,Bias control,Doubly periodic,Dual Band,Flat strips,Frequency selective surfaces,Numerical approaches,Reflection modes,Schottky diodes,Spatial modulators,Surface reflectivity,Switchable,Transmission mode,Transmittivity[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Characteristic response,Dual band,Frequency selective surfaces (FSS),Substrateless,Switchable[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICEEI.2009.5254740[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
