With this method, it is possible to generate solutions for the addressed aerodynamic problem, which shows a high complexity due to interference effects caused by dihedral and pronounced 3-dimensional flow properties as well as due to complex wing geometries. From the obtained results it follows that extremely large dihedral has substantial effects on the aerodynamic force characteristics. There are significant changes in the lift, the drag and the side force, thus affecting the flight performance. Furthermore, the obtained results show that the aerodynamic rolling and yawing moment characteristics are influenced by extremely large dihedral to a high degree. This is a significant outcome for lateral-directional stability because the aerodynamic rolling and yawing moment characteristics have a determinative influence here. © 2010 Jilin University.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]3-dimensional flow,Aerodynamic characteristics,Aerodynamic effect,Aerodynamic forces,Aerodynamic methods,Directional stability,Flight performance,Interference effects,Side force,Wing geometry,Yawing moment[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]aerodynamics,bird,CFD,dihedral[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1016/S1672-6529(09)60191-8[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
