The effects of silica nanoparticle size and SiO2-to-ZnO concentration ratio on the PL properties of the composite particles were investigated. The internal structure and chemical composition were investigated in detail using elemental mapping, which revealed that ZnO nanoparticles were well-dispersed within silica nanoparticle matrix. At a LiOH concentration of 0.23 M, the predicted ZnO crystallite diameter before and after spray drying was approximately constant at 3.3 and 3.6 nm, respectively. This result indicates that ZnO particle growth was inhibited and therefore the PL property of ZnO nanoparticles was stably preserved in the composite. © 2010 Elsevier B.V.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Before and after,Chemical compositions,Composite particles,Concentration ratio,Elemental mapping,Feed solution,Internal structure,matrix,Nano-composite particle,PL property,Quantum Dot,Silica nanocomposite,Silica nanoparticles,Sol-gel methods,Spray drying process,Well-dispersed,ZnO,ZnO nanoparticles,ZnO particles[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Photoluminescence,Quantum dot,Quantum efficiency,Silica nanocomposite[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jlumin.2010.09.039[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
