Preliminary study of the permeability of cement-resin admixture for water storage

Water to cement (w/c) ratio was in the range of 6/7 to 10/7 and the resin added was between 10 and 60 ml. Samples were formed in two ways: by injecting the admixture into a box of 80×60×60 cm3 with a pressure of 6 bar and by molding to fit a certain dimension based on the requirements of the standard measurement. It was found that the increase of water to cement ratio enhances the coefficient of permeability. In addition, the coefficient of permeability decreases with increasing the volume of resin. An attempt to make a relationship between the permeability and the porosity showed that a power law would hold.
