The literature study showed that the stress distribution at the joint, when loaded, is not evenly distributed and creates stress concentration at the edges. Attempts have been made by researchers to improve the joint design so that the stress would be more evenly distributed and minimize stress concentration, however, the improvement has been very limited. In this work, a comprehensive parameter study has been performed to observe the properties of adhesive joint of torque loaded tube. Based on the observation, a new type of adhesive joint is proposed which successfully reduces the stress concentration along the joint during torque loading. The analysis was performed using finite element method. © (2011) Trans Tech Publications.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Composite tube,Comprehensive parameters,Failure rate,Joint designs,Joint integrity,Literature studies,Torque loadings[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Adhesive joint,Composite tube,Finite element method,Joint integrity,Stress distribution[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.4028/www.scientific.net/KEM.462-463.7[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
