Abstract
An operational experience of wind-diesel hybrid power system in Indonesia is presented in this paper. The discussed wind-diesel hybrid power system is a combination of diesel and wind power plants without energy storage to supply consumers in small islands, east part of Indonesia. The system configuration of the system is discussed in this paper. Operational problems faced during the first years of operation are discussed. The use of load sharing controller to improve system performance is discussed. © 2011 IEEE.
