Improvement lovastatin production of Aspergillus terreus by pTRLI plasmid transformation

Transformats were selected for ability to grow on Czapex-dox agar containing pyrithiamine. Transformats were stable and grew on Czapex-dox agar containing pyrithiamine for 5 generations. A. terreus transformant is tested for lovastatin productivity using medium fermentation. This research showed that copy number of lovE gene in A. terreus increased significantly lovastatin productivity.
