Assuming that magma chamber follows the Mogi point source model and implementing the Levenberg-Marquardt inversion scheme, Bouger anomaly data are intepreted to predict the existance of shallow magma chamber beneath a fumarolic area of a volcano. Changes in subsurface condition are related to the deformation of magma chamber or dynamic of the associated hydrothermal. The inversion scheme was applied to synthetic data and yielded acceptable results. Since currently we have no field data, the implementation to real data was conducted by applying the scheme to microgravity data recorded at Merapi volcano during 1993-1995 activity published by Jousset et al. in 2000 [1] and Gunawan [2]. The interpreted gravity anomaly indicates that a causative body which depth and dimension are comparable to those concluded from seismic survey (depth 2000 m and 600-800 m radius) was the caused of the anomaly. Inversion of microgravity data recorded at different time yields the estimated volume and depth of change involved within the very shallow depth during the summit activity. © 2012 American Institute of Physics.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Levenberg-Marquardt inversion,Magma chamber,Microgravity[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1063/1.4730703[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
