The greater the value of crack initiation, the lesser the remaining life joint. Remaining life provides the information about how long a joint could support the structure, although the joint has undergone the crack initiation. Besides that, remaining life may also provide the information about the time interval that determines a time to do the next inspection. In other words, the next inspection would be carried out when the joint reliability index achieves the limit of targeted reliability index. This is the basics of Reliability Based Inspection. This paper presents studies on fatigue reliability index based on fracture mechanics approach by using some assumptions of crack data. The index is presented in the reliability index curve. There is a correlation between ages and reliability index. The older the ages of the structure, the lesser the reliability index value becomes.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Fatigue crack initiation,Fatigue reliability,Fracture mechanics approach,Joint reliability,Off shore platforms,Reliability based inspections,Reliability Index,Remaining life,Time interval[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Crack propagation,Fatigue crack initiation,Fatigue reliability index,Fracture mechanics,Jacket offshore platform[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
