KGaA.Natural extract graminoids coordinated with plasmonic silver nanoparticles are reported to serve as efficient light harvesting antennas for bio-photovoltaic cells, where emission quenching by silver nanoparticles facilitates electron collection from natural sensitizers. Moreover, the (100) nanosheet of titanium dioxide and the ligand tethering are demonstrated to be very important for efficient solar-driven electron collection.
