Abstract

© 2014 IEEE.Multicell inverter is a power electronic circuit which is capable of generating AC voltage output that has low ripple. In this paper, the use of hybrid control in multicell inverter was analyzed with the aim of producing a low ripple with an easy and efficient control. The basis of the hybrid control is to minimize the cosine value of the angle between x-xd and fn(x). The output of the hybrid control is the bits that set the switching components. The process of calculation was done for each time sample which is equal to 60μS. Simulations and experiments was conducted using 3 reference values, one reference of inductor current and two reference of capacitors voltage. The reference value of inductor current 1 is 2/3 Yin and the reference value of capacitor voltage 2 is 4/3Vin. Output ripple of voltage happened quite a lot and producing lower ripple can be done by changing the sample time or changing the value of the inductor.
