It leads to increasing of land needs and eventually has an impact on the increasing of land cover changes which are quite high in West Java. There is no available information about population density based on land cover class in Indonesia, especially in West Java. Generally, the population density data which available and accessible by public is the population density per unit area of administration, where the smallest spatial unit is village. The correlation between population density and land cover can be seen from the phenomenon of the increasing of land needs due to the insistence of human activity, but it does not offset with the availability of required land allocation. One example is the significant change in agricultural land becomes the settlement. To find out if the population density affects land cover change in West Java, then the information of land cover-based population density is required. This research will use the Koppen Geiger climate classification model in calculating the population density in each land cover class with resolution of 90 meters. In the development of this population density model, the input data are statistic data of population number, administrative boundary data, and land cover data which have been classified. With data raster-based spatial analysis process, then the population density for each land cover class in West Java Province will be obtained. Validation of modeling result is done by comparisons of population per administration area of modeling result with the existing condition. The information of population density for each land cover class is expected to be applied in different study areas as well as the size of resolution.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Agricultural land,Classification models,Geo-spatial data,Land cover,Land-cover change,Population densities,Population numbers,Spatial analysis[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Koppen Geiger climate classification model,Land cover class,Population density,Spatial analysis[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
