However, biomass combustion is prone to operational problems caused by the generally low-melting nature of biomass ashes. This work discusses the effects of co-combusting coal with POEFB (palm oil empty fruit bunch) and bamboo with respect to the thermomechanical behavior of the produced ashes. Coal is observed to increase the ash fusion temperatures (AFT) of neat and combined POEFB and bamboo ashes by as much as 300 °C. Aluminosilicate minerals in the coal combine with potassium in the biomass during co-combustion, producing high-melting K-aluminosilicates. A linear correlation is identified between measured AFT and ash liquidus temperatures estimated by FactSage thermochemistry calculation software, enabling the prediction of AFT of coal-biomass co-combustion systems.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Aluminosilicate minerals,Ash fusion,Ash fusion temperature,FactSage,Palm oil empty fruit bunch,Thermo-mechanical,Thermo-mechanical behaviors,Thermo-mechanical characterization[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]AFT,Ash fusion,Biomass,Combustion,FactSage,Thermochemistry,Thermomechanical[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.4028/www.scientific.net/KEM.709.38[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
