Business system requirement for small craft companies

One of the growing creative industries in Bandung is craft industries. In order to develop the industries, the craft companies need to increase their competitiveness. This study aims to identify the business system required by the small craft companies based on its development stages. The development states are divided into three phase. There are fluid, transitional and mature phase. Data are collected through questionnaires. The questionnaires are distributed to small craft companies in Bandung. The data are analyzed using descriptive and qualitative analysis methods. From this study, it can be concluded that the required modules for small craft industry in fluid, transitional and mature phase are: (1) product design and development, (2) sales and marketing, (3) procurement and production, (4) human resource management, (5) retail shop management, and (6) finance and accounting module. However, the application of each modules are built gradually based on the requirement in each phase. This results could be a recommendation for developers in designing MSMEs business system.
