Nuclear research reactor TRIGA Bandung is used as a center for applied research and development in the field of application of the nuclear technologies. TRIGA Bandung is currently still using a cylindrical fuel element, this raises a new problem – the limited number of existing fuel element. The purpose of this research is the development of the preliminary core design of a nuclear research reactor TRIGA Bandung using fuel element plate MTR. The research method is modeling and simulation the preliminary design core of nuclear research reactor TRIGA Bandung using comparative method of porous media and non-porous media with CFD code. This research shows the velocity flow and temperature distribution and the influence of pressure from the comparison method of k-e standard model and porous media model at the preliminary design in the core area of TRIGA Bandung research reactor with fuel element plate MTR.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]This research was supported by National Nuclear Energy Agency of Research, Technology, and High Education Republic of Indonesia with UMJ/VIII/2016.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1063/1.4972917[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
