The FMCW SAR system which is intended for unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) payload uses 25-35MHz chirp signal generated using Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) which is transmitted at L-band frequency of 1.27GHz generated by voltage controlled oscillator (VCO). The choice of system-components is considered to make the dimension as compact as possible so it is implementable as UAV payload. From the characterization, it shows that the system can achieve the range target detection of 1200m with the slant range resolution of 15m. Although some discrepancies occur in the measurement results which are evoked by the measurement environment, however the proposed system could satisfy the desired requirement for UAV payload.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]CHIRP signals,Direct digital synthesizer,Frequency-modulated continuous waves,L-band frequencies, payload,Range resolution,Small scale,System components[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Frequency-Modulated Continuous-Wave (FMCW),L-band frequency, payload,Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR),Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV)[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]This work is partially supported by the Postgraduate Team Research Program 2017 from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/INAES.2017.8068546[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
