This procedure results in permanent damage to the tissue so there must not be any fault occur during the procedure. The common problem faced is the uneven distribution of necrotic tissue that led to a smaller lesion size. This paper proposed an experiment on exterior cooling system as an addition instrument to the basic radio frequency ablation instruments. This study was done to quantify the cooling effect of the external coil used. Cooling coil was supplied with cooled water at constant temperature and was set into several volume flow rates. The coil contacted to the surface of the tissue when ablation was executed. The ablation was done for a minute with bipolar forceps probe at some sections of cattle liver. Temperature measurement points of the tissue were observed during ablation time. The ablated tissues were cut and then the width and the height of the lesion were measured for analysis. The with-cooling coil experiment showed the maximum temperature reached was lower than the no-cooling coil experiment. The results showed that by using exterior cooling coil there were increases in the size of the lesions. The use of external cooling system as additional instrument is suitable for electrosurgery which objective is to enlarge the lesion size without reaching the charring condition.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Biological tissues,Bipolar,Constant temperature,Cooling effects,External cooling systems,Lesion size,Maximum temperature,Radio-frequency Ablation[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Bipolar,Cooling effect,Lesion size,Liver,Radio frequency ablation[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICA.2017.8068442[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
