Business process and business system required along SMEs growth (Case study in Fashion Industry)

This empirical study was done to map enterprise system requirements needed by SME’s actors supporting their business has successfully grown. The different characteristics at each stage lead to differences in business processes and business systems implemented in the enterprise. Business processes and business systems mapping in this research was done by using a historical case study method, based on the conceptual model developed from previous studies. The result indicates the differences in business processes and business systems requirements at every growth stage. At this company, business system modules required in the entrepreneurial stage were finance and simple human resources. At the growth stages, business system modules added were finance, production and procurement, product design and development, marketing and sales, and simple human resources. Integrated finance system, product catalog, and real-time sales monitoring had been implemented in expansion stage. In the last stage, the company focused on the development of vendor and supplier selection information system.
