All rights reserved. The aim of this work was to investigate the soundscape perception in campus library. Identification of perceptual dimension has been done using in-situ assessment with 15 semantic differential scales on a questionnaire to 60 college students to achieve appropriate study space. They were bachelor and master students at Institut Teknologi Bandung. The semantic differential scale with 7 points was used to rate library soundscape based on their impression of the soundscape. Furthermore, principal component analysis was used to analyze the semantic data. Reliable principal components tested with Cronbach’s Alpha are dimension of Pleasantness and Dynamic. Noise measurement consisting of L10, L50, L90, and Leq in dB(A) were also gathered. Students perceive greater sound level like heavy rain more favorable than subtle conversation in lower background noise condition. Students also respond to improper acoustic condition by isolating themselves with music and earphone.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Acoustic conditions,Higher education students,In-situ assessment,Noise,Perceptual dimensions,Principal Components,Semantic differential scale,Soundscapes[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Library,Noise,Semantic differential scale,Soundscape[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
