The equations that we used are based on shallow water type model. Modification of motion inside the absorber is by including linearized friction term in momentum equation and introducing a filtered velocity. Here, an analytical solution for wave reflection coefficient from a porous wave absorber over a flat bottom is derived. Numerically, we solve the equations using the finite volume method on a staggered grid. To validate our numerical model, comparison of the numerical reflection coefficient is made against the analytical solution. Further, we implement our numerical scheme to study the evolution of surface waves pass through a porous absorber over varied bottom topography.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Analytical and numerical solutions,Bottom topography,Filtered velocity,Momentum equation,Numerical reflection coefficient,Numerical scheme,Wave reflection coefficient,Wave reflections[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1088/1742-6596/974/1/012042[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
