The critical rolling angle depends on the granular loading fraction in both cylinders, the maximum of which is achieved when both cylinders contain equal volumes of granules. Both mathematical and experimental studies for three types of granules have been conducted, demonstrating that the model reproduces the experimental observations remarkably well. Finally, the concept of a new “granular braking” system is proposed, and a simple demonstration has been executed to show that the concept is working, giving an opportunity that the concept that might be a candidate for the granular transportation mechanism on an inclined plane or road using large and heavy containers.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Critical angles,Granular matter,Inclined planes,Rotating cylinders,Transportation mechanism[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Coupled cylinders,Critical angle,Granular braking,Granular matter,Loading fraction,Rotating cylinder[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]This work was financially supported by the “Hibah Doktor” from the Ministry of Research and Higher Education , Republic of Indonesia (Grant No. 061/SP2H/LT/DRPM/IV/2017 ).[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1016/j.powtec.2018.06.024[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
