Of Communications.A packet network, like the Ethernet network, has a self-similar characteristic with its burst pattern over almost all time resolution. Therefore, a specific traffic, such as video traffic, needs special treatment for real-Time applications. We show the behavior of the MPEG-1 stream over our local area Ethernet network.
