In this study, we have conducted hypocenter determination with high accuracy and focal mechanism analysis of the two events to estimate the type of fault slip. We have determined the earthquake locations through re-picking of the P- and S-wave arrival times recorded by the BMKG seismic network in West Java. Earthquake locations have been determined using the Hypoellipse codes that employ a single event determination method. Both of these earthquakes are indicated as a result of an unidentified fault (we name it as GARSELA fault), which has a southwest-northeast trending direction. The focal mechanism solutions for these two events show a strike-slip fault type and normal fault type, respectively. Based on our previous study, this fault has also a high seismicity activity (small events). It is suggestive that the recent two events indicate that GARSELA is an active fault.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Fault,Focal Mechanism,GARSELA,Hypocenter[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1063/1.5047362[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
