Abstract
© 2017 IEEE.This research will be conducted thermal modelling and analysis of permanent magnet motor that output power is 75 kW with JMAG-based. Thermal analysis done using JMAG-Designer software. Before performing thermal analysis, the motor parameters is verified by using JMAG-Express which is certainly the motor model has been drawn in advance using CAD software. After verifying the design, the magnetic distribution that use to reference for the calculation of iron loss and joule loss is analysed. Analysis of the distribution of magnetic, iron loss, and the joule loss have been calculated using JMAG-Designer. Iron loss and joule loss became the reference for thermal analysis. Results from this study is to find out how the heat distribution of PMSM in operation and the increase in heat occurs. With the data obtained, the authors can design the cooling requirement which should be applied to the PMSM 75 kW.
