A simple physics concept approach and internet of things for energy conservation of air conditioner

However, the software requires many input parameters and it is difficult to obtain. By the appearance of the industry 4.0, Internet of Thing (IoT) has now opened a new paradigm in energy conservation. Through IoT, unknown parameters can be obtained through the deep learning process of big data. It makes energy conservation parameters can be realized through the real world. By using a simple concept of physics which is assisted by IoT, we have conducted a study to make savings through control compressor AC. The control is done by using PWM method on AC compressor. Its technique uses the trapping method; the indoor temperature is trapped into two desired temperature limits (Δ). After deriving the equation of the conservation method, there are three criterions affect simultaneously the energy consumption of AC and the room temperature comfort i.e. the upper and the lower temperature setting (Δ), performance of AC and the overall thermal transfer coefficient. Among these parameters, the upper and the lower temperature setting is the only parameter that can be explored as conservation parameter regulated via IoT platform. Four values of the parameter tested have produced energy saving about 50% of the usual.
