The proposed antenna is intended to satisfy the demand of wireless communication application. The antenna which is fed using a proximity coupling method and equipped with defected ground structure (DGS) is deployed by two layers of FR4 epoxy dielectric substrate with the dimension of 89\mathbf{mm}\times 68.5\mathbf{mm} and the total thickness of 3.3mm. The implementation of DGS incorporated at the groundplane is to achieve the antenna property in obtaining multiband frequency characteristic. From the characterization result, it shows that the realized antenna has multiband frequency response in the frequency range of 1-3GHz. The measured result was agreed well with the design one which is suitable for wireless communication application.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Antenna properties,Dielectric substrates,Measured results,Multi-band frequencies,Multiband antennas,Proximity coupled,Proximity couplings,Wireless communication applications[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]defected ground structure (DGS),multiband antenna, proximity coupling method, substrate integrated waveguide (SIW)[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]This work is partially supported by the postgraduate team research program (Penelitian Tim Pasca Sarjana) from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, the Republic of Indonesia.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICWT.2018.8527785[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
