A blast loading, and explosion phenomenon was discussed. Both numerical analysis using explicit finite element analysis and experimental study were carried out. In the numerical analysis, a LS-DYNA was used extensively, while in the experimental analysis, a TNT solid explosive was used. Composite structures were manufactured using prepreg carbon/epoxy laminates in an autoclave machine. Comparison between these two analyses was done. The study is important in understanding the blast phenomenon and its effect on composite structures, to be able to design safer composite structures.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Blast loading,Carbon/epoxy laminates,Experimental analysis,Explicit finite element analysis,LS-DYNA,Marine vehicles,Prepregs,Solid explosives[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]The authors wish to thank the Ministry of Defense, Republic of Indonesia through Defense Research and Development Institute (Balitbang – KEMHAN) in cooperation with Institut Teknologi Bandung who provide the research grant.
