The system stability is analyzed in order to explain the conditions for phytoplankton bloom formation and to explore system bifurcations. The interplay between the level of infochemical-mediated external predation and the phytoplankton carrying capacity is considered over a range of parameter values and the resultant system dynamics is illustrated. The model is extended to include a spatial diffusion term leading to a reaction-diffusion system that is investigated by determining the Turing space of the model. Thereafter, the bifurcation analysis of specific time-independent patterns is explored. Through time integration, the system is also shown to exhibit the potential for temporally varying spatial patterns.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Bifurcation analysis,Grazing pressure,Microzooplanktons,Phytoplankton bloom,Reaction diffusion systems,Spatial diffusions,Spatial patterns,Time integration[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Plankton model,predator-prey dynamics,reaction-diffusion model, spatiotemporal pattern formation,Turing mechanism[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1142/S0218127420300281[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
