The PD measurement result of a conventional mineral oil has been compared with vegetable-based transformer oil of Palm Fatty Acid Ester (PFAE) under AC applied voltage in quasi-uniform field at three consecutive gaps of 5mm until 9mm. Three different electric field of 1.5kV/mm, 2kV/mm and 2.5kV/mm has been applied at each gap in the PD measurement. The partial discharge inception voltage (PDIV) was measured to be 6.7kV and 8kV for PFAE and mineral oil at 9mm gap respectively. The Phase-Resolved Partial Discharge (PRPD) of PFAE and mineral oil at 1.5kV/mm until 2.5kV/mm appeared to have a distinctive characteristic at these different temperatures.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Applied voltages,Fatty acid esters,High voltage transformers,Monitoring system,Partial discharge activity,Partial discharge inception voltage,PD measurements,Phase resolved partial discharges[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Mineral oil,Partial discharge,PFAE,Spherical metal particles,Transformer[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]This work was supported by Malaysia Ministry of Higher Education under MyPhD scholarship and Universiti Sains Malaysia under Research University Grant (1001/PELECT/814232)[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
