Those understanding based on the perception of the environment, which is not only based on visual senses alone but also needs to involve other senses – one of which is the sense of hearing. This article aims to describe the descriptors that support the understanding of historic areas. The survey was conducted in-situ environment using the soundwalk method in the historic area of Jakarta. Perceptions data were collected using an online questionnaire with semantic differential scales. The data collected then analyzed based on the principal component analysis with varimax rotation to determine the descriptors of human perception in the heritage area. Based on the data collected, the variable can be divided into eight descriptors, where only three of them have a significant effect on the comfortable perception of tourists in the historic area. This paper also discusses the variable that influences those descriptors. The results of this study can provide input to stakeholders in conserving historic areas.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Descriptors,Human perception,Jakarta,Online questionnaire,Semantic differential scale,Soundscapes,Soundwalk,Varimax rotations[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
