One of the VR developing fields nowadays is education. VR in education is used as virtual experiments, in electrical particularly. An electrical experiment in education also needs evaluation to know the students’ development and understanding. One of the ways to do that is by doing assessments. There are two types of assessments, formative and summative. One of the formative assessments is in form of pre-test and post-test. In this paper, we focused on the formative assessment process of an electrical experiment from Vocational High School in Indonesia. In order to get the initial score, students take a pre-test right before working on the experimental manipulation, based on the current materials. They then take a post-test after finishing the experiment to get the final score, which will be displayed on an e-learning website. As part of the designing process, we also conducted an online survey to some Indonesian Vocational High School teachers to investigate user requirements and developed a VR mockup in an electrical experiment simulation to do pre-test and post-tests. Based on the preliminary experiment that we conducted, it is shown that two important indicators in assessment, validity and reliability, could be done in the VR environment and help Indonesian Vocational High School teachers in evaluating their students’ understanding and development.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Computer technology,Designing process,Electrical experiments,Formative assessment,High school teachers,Simulated environment,User requirements,Virtual experiments[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]assessment,education,electrical experiment, virtual reality[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICIDM51048.2020.9339656[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
