All rights reserved.A new prenylated chalcone (4,4’,6’ trihydroxy 3 methoxy 3’ pentene chalcone) has been isolated from Elatostema parasiticum (Blume) Blume ex. H. Schroet. Its structure was elucidated based on UV, IR, mass and NMR spectra data. The isolated compound was evaluated against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Candida albicans, Aspergillus niger and Microsporum gypseum using broth micro dilution method.
