Business – IT alignment success framework for manufacturing SMEs (A conceptual model)

A major contribution by the manufacturing sector and the role of SMEs in the Indonesian economy prompted the government to improve SMES competitiveness. One of which is internet training. The low adoption of internet in SMEs business due to the incapability of SME in aligning business with IT. This requires the government to help SMEs in adopting e-business effectively by assisting SMEs to align their business and IT. In this paper, we propose a conceptual model that will be further elaborated. We propose five factors of alignment and 5 proposisition related to these factors.
