This brings challenges in evaluating the maximum duration of permissible fault, or better known as the critical clearing time. A novel strategy to assess the critical clearing time that takes static converter limitations into consideration is proposed in this article. The impact of the introduction of the new criteria is also analyzed. The simulations performed in Power Factory platform on microgrids have shown that the usage of static converters might provoke fast frequency and voltage responses and consequently might reduce the critical clearing time.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Critical clearing time,Micro grid,Novel strategies,Renewables,Renewables integrations,Voltage response[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Critical clearing time,Renewables,Static converters[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]ACKNOWLEDGMENT The authors acknowledge the financial support from Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) for the first author’s doctoral studies.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICIT.2018.8352346[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
