ABAQUS was used to evaluate the interaction in the system, while a Mohr-Coulomb constitutive model was chosen to model the clay soil. Verification of the model was conducted by comparing the simulation result to an experimental laboratory result. The verification result showed that the model used in this research agreed well with the experimental laboratory research. Subsequently, a parametric study was performed by varying the pile spacing, raft size, pile length, and raft thickness. A parametric study was conducted on very stiff and hard clays. This study concludes that the load transfer mechanism in a piled-raft foundation system between the pile and raft foundation occurs after the pile reaches its ultimate capacity and is in the plastic zone.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Hard clay,Load transfer mechanism,Raft,Settlement,Stiff clays[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]ABAQUS,Foundation,Hard clay,Load transfer mechanism,Pile,Raft,Settlement,Very stiff clay[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.5614/j.eng.technol.sci.2019.51.5.5[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
