There are several types of infusion systems. The simplest version utilizes gravity and clamping device, the modern one uses the infusion pump to control the rate. The focus of this research is on the development of wireless remote monitoring infusion systems that can accommodate any infusion systems. In the last decade, the hospital has adopted a patient-centered care design. The consequences are the distance between the nurses’ station and the patient room even further, and nurses spend more time to reach the patient room. So, it is important to develop remote infusion monitoring system to improve patient safety. This research has designed and developed a low-cost remote infusion monitoring system. The SWOT analysis is used to determine the features of the system. There are some important features that have been implemented, such as reporting the important information to the nurses’ station; realization of the monitoring system in the patient room and nurses’ station using wireless technology. This paper has investigated the FDA’s recommendations on radio frequency wireless technology in medical devices and tries to implement it in Indonesia. The first one is the selection of wireless technology. From the study, the Wi-Fi module is chosen. The second one is the security of wireless signals and data. This recommendation is implemented using WPA. The last recommendation is wireless QoS. In this research, the MAC priority settings are used to implement the recommendation. WPA and MAC priority settings are set in the Wi-Fi access point.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]device,Healthcare services,Infusion monitoring systems,medical,Patient-centered care,remote,Wi-fi access points,Wireless technologies[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]device,medical,monitoring,remote,wireless[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ISEMANTIC.2018.8549820[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
