It is a simple, low-cost non-invasive optical technique that is commonly placed on a finger or toe, to detect blood volume changes in the micro-vascular bed of tissue. The sensor use an infrared source and a photo detector to detect the infrared wave which is not absorbed. The recorded infrared waveform at the detector side is called the PPG signal. This paper reviews the various blood flow parameters that can be extracted from this PPG signal including the existence of an endothelial disfunction as an early detection tool of vascular diseases. © 2013 IEEE.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Blood flow,Blood flow parameters, endothelial disfunction,Infra-red sensor,Non-invasive optical techniques,Photoplethysmograph,Vascular disease, vascular parameters[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]blood flow, early detection, endothelial disfunction, photoplethysmograph, vascular parameters[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICICI-BME.2013.6698535[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
