Diesel Power Plant is still inefficient because of high operation costs i.e. 89,31% depleted to fuel costs [7]. The combustion process on diesel engine does not produce a perfect combustion thereby require any changes. One of technology changes that more environmentally friendly and efficient is Diesel Gas Power Plant (PLTDG). In the gas mode, the main fuel is fuel gas. A small amount of pilot fuel oil is also injected using the diesel fuel oil injection mechanism, and premix combustion are realized with the pilot fuel oil as the ignition source. The maintenance time interval of PLTDG is longer than PLTD, so the cost is more efficient. The PLTDG installation cost is also lower than PLTD because it doesn’t require the big size of fuel tank. The purpose of this research is to prove that PLTDG is better than PLTD in efficiency aspect through calculation and comparison between the impact of fuel consumption of PLTD and PLTDG Pesanggaran.
