Most modern industrial equipment is quite sensitive to instantaneous voltage sags, so it is necessary to keep the power quality to guarantee the reliability of the production process. The Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has been applied as one of the representative devices for compensating the voltage sags. This paper proposes a multiloop PR control based an integrated BESS-DVR, which is organized in the stationary reference frame, to mitigate the power quality problems such as the unbalanced voltage sag, deep voltage sag, and phase jump. The advantages of the proposed multiloop controller provide the rapid response to the disturbance on the grid to track the sinusoidal reference, while the configuration is simpler than the PI controller. In this paper, the design of the proposed controller is explained in detail, and the simulation results of comparative studies with the PI controller in the synchronous reference frame are described. The proposed model of an integrated BESS-DVR system and the control algorithm are validated by PSiM simulation under various voltage disturbances such as unbalanced and balanced voltage sag.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Battery energy storage systems,Dynamic voltage restorer (DVR),Instantaneous voltage,Multi-loop controllers,Power quality improvement,Power quality problem,Stationary reference frames,Synchronous reference frame[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]DVR,multiloop controller, power quality,PR controller[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]ACKNOWLEDGMENT This paper was supported by PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (persero) Indonesia, Human Capital Management, No.1773.K/SDM.00.03/DIR/2017.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ACEMP-OPTIM44294.2019.9007199[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
