Abstract

Three types of fullerene doped epoxy (EP) nanocomposites were prepared to investigate the effect of refining treatments in ac dielectric breakdown strength. That is, two kinds of mixed fullerenes and pure C6 0 were used as nanofillers, and neat EP was also used for comparison. As a result, it is revealed that the dielectric breakdown strength of all three types of 0.2 wt% fullerene doped EP increases by about 30% compared with that of neat EP, and the effect of the refining treatment is small under the present conditions.
