ICT introduces a new concept of communicative media learning through a Learning Management System (LMS). The ICT also introduces several benefits of distance learning activities using videoconference technology. With the growing of smartphone users, there are many LMS platforms that migrate from web based into mobile based applications. Currently, it is difficult to find a mobile based LMS integrated with videoconference system. This research aims to propose a design of mLearning application with videoconference system for higher education. This mobile application was developed using Ionic framework that uses web-based programing language to create Hybrid Mobile Application for supporting a variety of mobile operating systems. The application adopts LMS Moodle and integrates multimedia communication systems such as videoconferencing and video call to support distance learning. From the experiment, the results show that the system has better response time when used by up to 500 users at the same time. Each content in mLearning application can be loaded under 1s. Moreover, the server can process 1 request per second for every request from users. The use of multimedia communication technology also increases RAM usage of the mobile application around 20-30MB for each connected user.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Information communication technology,Learning management system,Mobile Learning,Mobile operating systems,Multi-media communications,Multimedia communication systems,Video calls,videoconference[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]learning management system, mobile learning application, video call,videoconference[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICEEI.2017.8312339[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
