Plants require light, water, and nutrients for growth, reproduction and efficient crop production. Plant nutrients are mostly absorbed by plant roots from soil. For satisfactorily plant growth, it is urgency that soil provides a favorable environment for root development that can exploit the soil sufficiently. Water exists in soil as a thin film which has very different properties to that of a bulk volume of the same water. The organic part forms complex interactions with the water, minerals, solute, and microorganisms of the soil, compounding the complexity of the system. Furthermore, soil is a dynamic open system, continually subject to inputs and losses of energy, water, organic and inorganic materials, and supports the plant structurally. The physical, chemical and biological properties of soil lead to a series of physiological, biological and chemical changes along with growth, yield and quality of the plant biomass, and thus of fibers. The purpose of this review is to summarize the impacts of the soil properties on the physical and morphological structure of plant fibers growth. The present study further demonstrated the interaction effects and sustainability of soil properties to produce quality plant fibers.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Chemical and biologicals,Chemical and physical properties,Inorganic materials,Microbial activities,Morphological structures,Nutrient uptake,Plant biomass,Soil property[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Microbial activity,Natural fibers,Nutrient uptake,Plant biomass,Soil properties,Sustainability[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]The Authors are gratefully acknowledge Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang Malaysia for providing research grant ( RUI-1001/PTEKIND/811195 ), and Ministry of Education for the Research grant ( FRGS-203/PTEKIND/6711325 ).[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1016/j.rser.2014.11.099[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
