Using one-dimensional quantum dot approach on quantum box model, the transition of electrons from ground energy to a higher energy level (inter-band transitions) can be described by evaluating the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. By varying the dot size (1 nm, 2 nm, and 4 nm), different values of effective band-gap will be obtained. Using the perturbation theory, with dot size and light source variations, the power of the spontaneous emission can be obtained. With those variations, one kind of laser and an optimum dot size which can produce the highest spontaneous emission power can be acquired, that is by XeF laser radiation with 2 nm of quantum dot size. © 2011 IEEE.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Author keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]Band gaps,Dinger equation,Dot size,Energy level,Ground energy,Inter-band transition,Perturbation theory,Quantum boxes,Quantum-dot size,Silicon-based,Spontaneous emission power,Time-dependent[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Indexed keywords” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]perturbation theory, quantum confinement, quantum dot,Silicon, spontaneous emission[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”Funding details” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][vc_empty_space][megatron_heading title=”DOI” size=”size-sm” text_align=”text-left”][vc_column_text]https://doi.org/10.1109/ICICI-BME.2011.6108639[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_column_text]Widget Plumx[/vc_column_text][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator css=”.vc_custom_1624528584150{padding-top: 25px !important;padding-bottom: 25px !important;}”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
