Green Recovery Challenge Fund
The UK PACT Green Recovery Challenge Fund will disburse £12 million over two years on projects that will help countries accelerate their low-carbon transition. It will focus on projects that maximise emissions reductions in ODA-eligible countries across Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Asia. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a focus to support projects to build back better and promote a greener and more resilient future. Each project has the potential to be awarded up to £500,000 over the course of a 12-month implementation period
The first round of funding launching in August 2020 focuses on two themes: Greening financial systems will support target countries across Asia and Latin America to mainstream climate-related financial risks and opportunities in order to accelerate the low-carbon transition and enable a green recovery.
Electrifying urban mobility aims to advance more equitable, accessible and cleaner transport systems in target Asian countries, with a focus on electric vehicles – https://www.ukpact.co.uk/green-recovery-challenge-fund#electrifying-urban-mobility
