Abstract

© 2017 IEEE.This research discusses modeling and cooling analysis on a 30 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor using software Finite Element Method (FEM). The research begins by modeling the design of the 30 kW PMSM, an electric motor which is being developed by Molina ITB Research Team. Through this activity, parameter, geometry, component material and drive condition of the motor are known. Furthermore, thermal modeling and analysis are conducted at the 30 kW PMSM. These activities are performed using JMAG, then cooling modeling and analysis are conducted at the 30 kW PMSM using software FEM. The outcome of this research is analysis temperature distribution before cooling and distribution temperature after cooling.
