Visiting Researcher Program Batch 3 BRIN 2022

Description
The Visiting Researcher program is a human resource capacity development program based on the mobility of researchers through collaborative research, development, assessment, and/or application of science and technology at BRIN, for professors or expert researchers from universities, research and development agencies, and/or industry both at home and abroad.
Objectives
To improve the competence of human resource researchers so as to contribute to improving the national research and innovation climate through increasing the number of publications in high-reputation scientific journals, innovative products, and establishing national or international research collaborations.
General Requirements
Indonesian citizens or foreign nationals, other than ASN BRIN;
has completed the doctoral program education;
have experience and expertise relevant to the field of expertise and proven by evidence of a track record (portfolio) of research and innovation activities;
have an h-index level of a minimum of 5;
prepare an activity plan during the implementation of the Visiting Researcher program;
obtain permission from the origin institution;
for foreign nationals, they are required to obtain an immigration permit in accordance with the provisions of the applicable laws (Visa C-315); and
signing the commitment document for the implementation of the Visiting Researcher program.

Duration
The Visiting Researcher program is carried out for a minimum of a month to 6 (six) months and can be extended based on the evaluation results by the Directorate of Talent Management, National Research and Innovation Agency.
Fundings
Participants of the programs would be given living allowance incentives. The amount of the incentives is determined in accordance with the provisions of the legislation.
Output
The output expected by the Visiting Researcher is to produce at least 1 (one) global indexed scientific publication of high reputation or equivalent. Highly reputable global indexed journals are equivalent to the Scopus index in quartiles 1 and 2.
Rights and Obligations
Visiting Researcher participants have the right to:
Get incentives according to the regulations.
Using equipment and facilities in accordance with the scope of research activities carried out by the host research group.
Propose an extension of the activity period.
Visiting Researcher participants have the obligation to:
Participants are required to carry out research activities in accordance with their field of expertise, in research groups at the research center location at BRIN, for the duration as stipulated in the Decree of the Deputy for Human Resources, Science and Technology, National Research and Innovation Agency.
Participants must tap attendance on the information system every working day at the beginning and end of working hours.
Participants are required to upload reports on activities or research progress on the information system at the end of each month.
Participants are required to upload the final report on research activities and evidence of research output on the information system at the end of the Visiting Researcher program implementation.
